We are a Texas nonprofit in our founding year, and we would rather tell you exactly where we are than describe an organization we have not built yet.
Mission
To let young performers be heard
Trinity Music Group exists so that young musicians who have put in the work have somewhere to play that takes it seriously. Our founders put it plainly at the first board meeting: the point is to give performers the chance to really shine.
Behind that is a concern we keep running into. Across genres, the pipeline of performers is thinning. Fewer students carry an instrument past school, not for lack of talent but for lack of anywhere for that talent to go. Our answer is not another class. It is a stage, an audience, and teaching from people worth learning from.
We were established in 2026 and have not yet held an event. Our first is the Trinity Young Pianist Showcase in February 2027. We would rather say that than imply a track record we have not earned. Everything on this site is either done, funded, or clearly marked as planned.
How we work
Local first, and small on purpose
Our strategy is to build genuine traction close to home before reaching further. That means partnerships with music academies, university music departments and individual faculty, rather than advertising into a void.
It also means starting deliberately small. A first event with eight to twelve performers in a hall that fills is worth more than an ambitious one in a room that looks empty. Scale is something we intend to earn.
- Partnership over rental. Schools are host institutions, not venues to hire.
- Students choose their music. What they bring tells us as much as how they play it.
- Everything filmed. Performers keep video of their own playing.
What guides us
Three commitments
Opportunity
A place to perform should not depend on who your teacher knows. Nominations and open applications are read the same way, by the same people, against the same criteria.
Standard
A proper hall, a tuned instrument, a printed program, professional video. If we cannot do an event to that standard, we postpone it rather than lower it.
Care
Every performer at our first event is a minor. We correspond through parents, guardians and teachers, never directly with students, and no board member is ever alone with a young person.
